Staffordshire Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley, was the special guest at the school assembly at St John's CofE Primary School in Wetley Rocks. She was treated to a special practice of their harvest hymn and then took questions from the pupils about her job and what the life of an MP is like.
Karen said:
"I really enjoy visiting our local Moorlands' schools, so it was an honour to be invited to St John's to meet the staff and students. Members of the School Council visited the Houses of Parliament earlier this year to see where I work so this was my chance for a return visit. They gave me a wonderful welcome to their school.
St John's is clearly a very successful and friendly place - the children were an absolute delight and questions from young children are always direct and searching. They've got a real interest in what MPs do and such inquiring minds are really positive for the future."
