Usually at this time of year, we are all looking forward to spending time with friends and family over the long Easter weekend. I enjoy the local church services that I go to and the warmth and friendship of so many as we celebrate Christ's resurrection.
However, this Easter weekend is very different, as we have to be apart from those we love. But it is still a time to reflect and think of the true meaning of Easter.
My thoughts are particularly with with the families and friends who have sadly lost their loved ones, or who are worried about those that are ill. I also think about the NHS staff and those working in care homes who are caring for so many. And I think about the many others who will be working and volunteering this weekend to deliver food, medicines and other essentials and of course being at the end of a phone for anyone who needs company.
I hope you are able to enjoy this Easter weekend.
