Karen spent a busy day campaigning on Tuesday, starting at the Leek Livestock Market. Karen met farmers and suppliers to the farming sector as she enjoyed the hustle and bustle of the market.
Karen said:
"It's always great to see the excitement of the market in Leek. Farming is a vital part of Staffordshire Moorlands life. As well as producing food and caring for the land, farming is a vital part of our local economy. Many other suppliers rely on a thriving agriculture business.
"Many people at the market have told me how they want politicians to take notice of their concerns. They want someone who will take bovine TB seriously. Someone who will cut the red tape. If you want to be in farming the chances are you are not hoping to spend your time behind a desk filling in endless forms. Conservative policies will reduce that red tape that Labour have imposed and make agriculture the priority it deserves to be."
