Well over 100 people came to Trinity Church in Leek on Tuesday night to hear the four candidates for Staffordshire Moorlands in the General Election on the hustings. Churches Together in Leek had organised the event and there were wide ranging questions from solving the Israeli/Palestinan problem, to nuclear weapons and MPs' expenses.
Karen said:
"It was good to see so many people interested in the election. The questions were very thoughtful and Churches Together did a great job all round.
"I hope people can see that the Conservatives have solid policies for all the areas we were asked about. It's also really important that people see that politicians are standing for principles not just career purposes or for personal publicity."
Karen received a very positive response from the audience including when she explained how she had come to politics after experiencing through her work how important the duties of our law-makers are and how she could make people's lives better by getting involved doing so.
Churches Together in Biddulph have organised a similar event in the town for Sunday 25th Karen.
