Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley will be hosting a PENSIONERS’ & CARERS’ ADVICE FAIR on Saturday 16th JULY 2022 from 10am—12 noon in the Churnet Room at Moorlands House in Leek.
Karen said,
"As your local MP I receive daily requests from older people and their carers for help and information about all sorts of issues from accommodation, to pensions, healthcare, access to the internet and transport. All too often, though, the sender is already in a crisis.
"I am hosting this event to tackle these issues before they become a problem – there are wonderful local services available in the Moorlands and I hope that this fair will help to show you what is on offer.
"Stalls will include representatives from local and national services and charities who can explain to you the services they provide, how they could help you, and how you can access them. My previous Pensioners’ Fair event was a huge success, so please come along to get your questions answered and find out more—everybody is welcome!"
Karen was also pleased to have the opportunity to mention the Fair during Business Questions in Parliament. She asked the Leader of the House for a debate on community groups that provide such support for the more mature constituents.
