Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley today chaired the Westminster Media Forum policy conference entitled: "Next steps for sport in the UK - funding, sustainability, governance, participation and media consumption, and emerging from COVID-19."
Karen is Vice Chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Football and introduced speaker Adam Conant, head of Sport at DCMS who spoke about Policy priorities for supporting elite and grassroots sport and about sector recovery from the pandemic followed by speakers Anna Scott-Marshall, Director of Communications at the British Paralympic Association, Jack Buckner, CEO British Swimming, Robert Morini, Head of Governance and International Relations at UK Sport and Victoria Aggar, Chair of the British Athletes Commission who all spoke about building on the success of the delayed Olympic and Paralympic Games and the long-term outlook for elite sport funding, support, sustainability, and governance.
