Following the Prime Minister’s announcement of his Roadmap out of lockdown, Moorlands MP Karen Bradley is organising a zoom call for hospitality and tourism businesses in the Moorlands on Tuesday 9th March at 4pm. The call will be with Karen, Cllr Ralphs from SMDC as well as representatives from Hospitality UK and the North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce.
Karen said,
"As you may be aware, over the course of the pandemic, I have lobbied extensively for further support for the hospitality and tourism sectors and hosted a number of roundtable conversations with pubs, breweries and other tourism and hospitality businesses in the Moorlands to see what more the Government can do to support the industry. Alongside the All Party Parliamentary Group for Hospitality and Tourism, I also signed a letter to the Chancellor urging broader support for the sector including a wide ranging extension to the 5% VAT cut, a further 100% business rates holiday and an extension of the furlough scheme.
"I hope that many of our hospitality and tourism businesses wil register to join this call."
