On Saturday Karen joined the crowds for Leek's Annual Club Day Parade. She said:
"It's always an honour to walk at front of the procession on Club Day and this year was no exception. The Salvation Army did an absolutely wonderful job leading the service and the parade. Major Rudi's address was typically vigorous and very thought-provoking and I loved the entertainment provided as part of the service by the Army's unique timbrel drills. I must mention the young people from the Salvation Army too who lead us in one of the hymns and in particular Maisie, who read the lesson so clearly and with such conviction.
"There is nothing like Club Day and the joyful, positive atmosphere gives me great heart when there is so much upheaval in the world today. Thank you to all those who took part on Saturday, it was Staffordshire Moorlands at its best."
