Following the presentation of a petition in Parliament on behalf of local residents and relating to spreading operations in the Musden Low area, Karen was pleased to have a conversation with the Environment Agency .
Karen said,
"Following the presentation of the petition, it was useful to speak to the Environment Agency earlier this week.
"They are aware of the petition and have said that if residents experience odour issues from this activity, they are advised to contact the Environment Agency incident hotline number on 0800 80 70 60 to report it. These reports will help them assess the environmental threats and the appropriate response."
Karen is encouraging as many residents as possible affected by this issue to make an official report. The Environment Agency have said that they will look into the matter.
