Karen Bradley, Member of Parliament for Staffordshire Moorlands joined many other MPs and Ministers earlier today in a roundtable to discuss support for pubs and the hospitality sector.
Karen said,
“I have been contacted by many businesses in the Moorlands in the hospitality sector and have hosted calls with many of them together with local authorities and Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce so was pleased to be able to join this call today with the Secretary of State and the Minister for Small Business, Consumers and Labour Markets.
“I raised many concerns including an extension of the business rates holiday, continued VAT reduction and I asked Ministers to consider quick and easy variation of licences regarding the use of glassware outdoors for example, to make it easier for businesses to trade once we move back into the tier system.”
