I was delighted to be invited to visit Luosko German Shepherd Dog Rescue, just outside Cheadle, recently.
I met with Co-founders Stuart and Dru, who told me all about Luosko’s formation in 2014, and how they have helped over 1000 dogs in need of a home since then.
I was given a tour of the facilities, including the ‘home from home’ room, which is used as part of the training for dogs so they can get used to the sort of environment they may be re-homed in. I was joined in there by Abbie and Zeva, two delightful black and tan short coat German Shepherds, and almost managed to get them both to stay still for a photo.
Luosko are looking for donations of items to make the room more homely, so if you can help in any way, please get in touch with them via email at [email protected], or by phone on 0300 121 1 121.
You can find out more about their work on the website here https://www.luoskogermanshepherddogrescue.org/home.
