Karen was delighted to visit Edwards C of E Academy in Leek recently.
She was greeted in reception by some of the students and then met Head Teacher, Tom Hutchinson, School Business Manager Sue Casey and two of the Governors to discuss many issues including some improvement projects and a school plan to introduce some new initiatives to make the school more useful to the Community.
This includes allowing certain groups such as the Women’s Institute and the U3A to use the school premises. They also plan to use some of the grounds for projects such as allotments for students to work on and are planning to bring the students in from The Meadows to get involved with some of these projects.
Karen said,
“It was lovely to visit St Edward’s and I would like to thank the students for their warm welcome. We had a very useful meeting and it was great to hear all about their new initiatives.”
