Karen joined the churches of Leek for the annual Club Day parade through the town. Club Day has seen the churches come together for over 200 years to march through Leek. Karen was pleased to join the marchers agin for this year's parade which had the them of Jesus is the Light of the World. It was the turn of Waterhouses Methodist Church and their minister Rev Michael Etheridge to lead the parade.
Karen said:
"We may have begun the service by singing to thank God for the rain, but the weather was gloriously dry and the marchers and bands brought joyful witness to the town. Michael led a rousing service in the market square and I was honoured to march with the the Methodist Church banner leading the way. Well done to all who helped to make this year as special as ever."
Karen is pictured with Rev Michael Etheridge, Cllr Colin Pearson, Chairman of Staffordshire Moorlands District Council, and Lady Mayoress Gill Harrison and Leek Town Mayor Cllr Keith Harrison with the Waterhouses Methodist Church banner about to set off for the march.
