We have so many great hospitality venues here in the Moorlands and I have already featured some of them as previous Reasons in my A Year of Reasons to Visit the Moorlands initiative. This week, for my week 44’s Reason to Visit, I would like to highlight The Manifold Inn in Hulme End.
The Manifold Inn is a lovely 200 year old coaching inn and restaurant that offers home cooked food and a welcoming environment to visitors to the beautiful White Peak.
The inn is situated within its own grounds and nestles on the banks of the Manifold River, opposite The Old Toll House which used to serve the turnpike and river ford. It’s a listed building and is close to a number of popular walking and cycling routes, including the famous Manifold Trail.
I was delighted to visit The Manifold Inn recently and as well as a great pub and restaurant, it really is the perfect place to use as a base for exploring the surrounding countryside or nearby towns and villages.
You are spoilt for choice with the menus with full breakfast available, a lunch menu and a snack menu during the summer. A full dinner menu and wine list is available to be served in the Bar, Conservatory, Snug or Restaurant. The meals are all freshly prepared using ingredients from local suppliers.
The Inn also offers accommodation with 12 en-suite hotel rooms and a 2 bedroom holiday cottage.
I will be posting about The Manifold Inn all week on my Year of Reasons X/Twitter @VisitMoorlands and Instagram @VisitTheMoorlands so please do share your photos.
The Manifold Inn is a really lovely place to visit so come along and enjoy the beautiful local area around the River Manifold. The Manifold Inn – a great Reason to Visit the Moorlands!
