Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley held a Climate Roundtable in the Moorlands earlier today in order to have an update from Parliament, local councils and organisations on this important issue.
Karen receives many emails and letters from constituents with their concerns about climate change and the effects it is having on our world. Tackling climate change and protecting the environment for future generations is a top priority for the Government and Karen was keen to have an update on what is happening locally.
Karen said,
“I was delighted to organise this Climate Roundtable and particularly to welcome my colleague Mark Pawsey MP, who is a member of the Energy Security and Net Zero Committee.
“We heard from representatives from both Staffordshire Moorlands District Council and Staffordshire County Council and then had a useful open discussion where the many local organisations I invited were able to make their views known for me.
“I will be feeding all the points made back to Ministers.”
Karen is grateful to Buxton & Leek College who very kindly hosted the event.
