The Shadow Minister for Health Stephen O'Brien joined Karen Bradley campaigning in Biddulph on Tuesday. Stephen and Karen spoke to dozens of people to describe Conservative plans to expand and support the NHS.
Stephen explained how Conservatives will increase spending on the NHS in real terms and make sure the NHS focuses on the things that matter to patients - such as whether you survive killers like cancer - rather than box-ticking and process targets.
Karen said:
"It was great to have Stephen here with us in Biddulph. It's particularly important in this town thanks to the, frankly, disreputable comments from Labour about a supposed threat to the Health Centre. Conservatives will expand the NHS and Stephen confirmed that if people in Biddulph want the Health Centre they can have it.
"Clearly I'm not the only one who was interested in what he had to say, Moorlands FM Radio was so keen they even delayed their lunch time news to extend his interview! I hope that the people of the Moorlands heard our message of support for the NHS".
Karen and Stephen met dozens of voters in Biddulph in the afternoon as the campaign continued.
