Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley was pleased to be asked to open the Garden Party at Christ Church, Biddulph Moor on Saturday.
Despite the rain and having to hold the event indoors, local residents still turned up to show their support and over £1,300 was raised towards the hall makeover appeal.
Karen said,
“It was such a shame that it was raining and that we had to hold the Garden Party indoors but I was glad that so many people turned up, despite the bad weather, to support the event.
“I was delighted to learn that over £1,300 was raised – congratulations to everyone involved.”
