Karen joined thousands of visitors at the Rudyard "Day at the Lake" on Sunday to celebrate the first Staffordshire Day.
Despite the terrible Bank Holiday weather there were good crowds enjoying live music, Edwardian entertainment and a death-defying high wire walk over the Lake. Karen said:
"It was a great way to celebrate the history of Staffordshire and look forward to a bright future for our county. The highlight was watching Chris Bull, better known as Bullzini, crossing Ruydard Lake on the high wire. I cannot imagine how anyone can be a tightrope walker in the first place but to do it in the storm we experienced on Sunday afternoon is quite an achievement.
"We have a lot to be proud of in Staffordshire, many visitors had clearly come from far afield and I hope many more visitors will come and enjoy our beautiful scenery and so many great attractions."
