Moorlands MP, Karen Bradley was named as one of the 100 women to be recognised on the Women in Westminster: 100 List which was announced earlier today.
The House's annual celebration of the most inspirational and influential women in Westminster is back for a second year this International Women’s Day, celebrating the outstanding accomplishments of women in public life by recognising one hundred women who have achieved excellence in their sector in the world of Westminster.
Patrons include Laura Kuenssberg, Baroness Jenkin of Kennington, Caroline Nokes MP, Rupert McNeil and Anne Alexander and they had the unenviable job of narrowing down a long list to one hundred, comprised of Parliamentarians, Civil Servants, Journalists, Public Affairs Specialists, Political Commentators and others.
Karen commented,
“I am delighted and honoured to join other colleagues on the Women in Westminster: 100 list. Today is International Women's Day and we should celebrate the fantastic strides we have made in creating equal opportunities for women both here and around the world, and commit ourselves to doing more.”
