Karen Bradley enjoyed a visit to Hollinsclough's flower festival on Monday. She said: "It was a real pleasure to see such beautiful displays in the Methodist Chapel in Hollinsclough. There's a tremendous skill and artistry in creating such evocative images with flowers - it was lovely to see such a variety of colours.
Karen's first engagement as MP for Staffordshire Moorlands was to join the enthusiastic audience at All Saints' Church in Leek on Friday 22nd May to hear the Piva band perform "Music and Manners" - Italian renaissance music played on a range of instruments and all in costume too.
Karen Bradley sat on the green benches of the House of Commons for the first time this week, behind the Prime Minister David Cameron, as Parliament met. MPs chose John Bercow to continue as Speaker.
Karen Bradley saw all her hard work pay over the last four years and particularly the last four weeks as she was declared the MP for Staffordshire Moorlands early on Friday morning with a majority of 6,689."It's been a great campaign and a really exciting night", said Karen. "I'm so grateful to the voters of the Moorlands for choosing me as their MP. I'm thrilled with the majority - people have responded to our positive message of hope and optimism.
After another couple of days out meeting voters in Leek It's finally here - the chance to bring change to Staffordshire Moorlands and kick out the failing Labour government. On Tuesday Karen was in Biddulph and on Wednesday in Leek. Now she'll be out asking people to support her at the polls.
Karen's campaign was back in Alton and Farley this weekend. On Saturday she met local people in Alton. She and her supporters visited voters at home and discussed a wide range of issues of concern from fuel prices to voting.
Karen and her family enjoyed two local sports events at the weekend, taking in the Leek Town FC celebration match on Sunday and then the county cricket at Leek Cricket Club on Monday. All this squeezed in around the real job of meeting more voters in Werrington!
Karen is a regular customer of Boardman's newsagent in Leek but today's discussion with Susan Boardman was about more than the usual paper bill and football stickers for her kids. The National Federation of Retail Newsagents invited Karen to hear their concerns and by coincidence it was her local shop they chose to come to.
Karen Bradley, Conservative Parliamentary Candidate for Staffordshire Moorlands, today wrote an open letter to her Labour Party opponent, Charlotte Atkins, demanding that she withdraw the misleading and dishonest leaflets currently being distributed to the people of Staffordshire Moorlands.
Karen joined the other two main candidates in the general election at Leek College on Friday as an audience of over 100 interested students put questions on a range of issues from education to MPs expenses.
